This descriptive legend graced Waupaca's picture postcards of a bygone era. It went beyond another of the Chain's one-time slogans, "The Killarneys of America." Both phrases capture the lakes' singular appeal. Summer residents appreciate the widely diverse activities of a serenely scenic vacation refuge. Year-round residents, about half of the seasonal total, relish the quality of life made possible by the character of their neighbors and their idyllic region.
